OUR FAMILY OUTING TO
SILVER DOLLAR CITY
Branson, Mo

We visited Silver Dollar City, and 1880's theme park, based in Branson, Mo the first week of June of 1996. Here are a few pictures of that visit. There are lots of pictures here, so I have divided them up into two pages. More pictures of the kids and Troy can be seen by Clicking Here.

Marvel Cave Silver Dollar City started with tours of Marvel Cave. At one point on the tour, you are 505' underground. The tour lasts one hour and is not for the faint of heart. There are 600 steps to climb, both up and down and there are places you must duck to keep from hitting your head.

This is an entrance sign to the "Fire In The Hole" ride. It is an underground roller coaster with an 1880's town fire theme. It was the first roller coaster at Silver Dollar City and is Colleen's favorite ride.

Silver Dollar City would not be complete without a "saloon". Don't be alarmed, they only sell root beer. There are saloon girls, a dance show, an "outlaw", and even a resident funny man.
